The Pearland Old Townsite Farmers Market has kicked off its 2012 Market Season. There is still time to participate and be a 2012 Farmers Market Partner. Market Partners help us grow and expand the market, as well as provide unique special events and activities.
The Pearland Old Townsite Farmers Markets mission is to help bring more visitors to the heart of Pearland, The Old Townsite; to help provide local families a place to purchase local produce and products, provide a place for residents to gather to help build a sense of community and to help support local families who produce the goods.
The Pearland Old Townsite Farmers Market is continually growing. The market is attracting between 300-400 people per market day per traffic count taken April 2011. We currently have 948 Facebook followers and an email list of over 480 residents. We currently have 21 regular booths with 8 seasonal booths. We are expecting to booth numbers to continue to grow as well as our attendance. We would like to invite you to help us revive the “Old Townsite” area of Pearland, promote the “Buy Local” concept and help bring fresh healthy produce and foods to our residents.
The Pearland Old Townsite Farmers Market is held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday every month except November and December (only 2nd Saturdays, due to Thanksgiving and Christmas); from 8am – 12pm each market day. The market is held at Zychlinski Park, located at 2243 Grand Blvd., Pearland Texas 77581. The park features a playground for children and the market usually has live music to help entertain visitors.
